Dr. Usman Khan, MD, PhD, is an accomplished neurosurgeon known for managing highly complex brain and spine cases. As Director of Skull Base Surgery at Endeavor Health Advanced Neurosciences Center, he combines both traditional open and minimally invasive approaches to address challenging conditions. Drawing upon extensive dual fellowship training in cerebrovascular, skull base, and neuro-endoscopic neurosurgery, Dr. Khan has established centers of excellence for anterior and lateral skull base disease, leveraging cutting-edge techniques—including keyhole and endoscopic methods—to optimize patient outcomes and quality of life.

After earning his MD and PhD through a collaborative program at the State University of New York and Columbia University, Dr. Khan completed his neurosurgical residency at the University of California, San Diego. He subsequently pursued advanced fellowship training under Peter Nakaji, MD, at the University of Arizona, and Daniel Kelly, MD, at the Pacific Neuroscience Institute. An active clinical scientist, he has published over 50 peer-reviewed papers and holds patents in artificial intelligence and neuro-imaging. Notably, he has led landmark work on building multidisciplinary skull base centers that integrate leading-edge surgical technologies and team-based care for safer outcomes.
